Sunnyside School of Music

Fees

The Sunnyside School year is divided into three terms: September-December (15 weeks), January-March (11 weeks) and April-June (12 weeks.) Lessons will be paid in advance for each term. Students may sign up at any point, and pay the remainder of that term.

Sunnyside School of Music accepts cheques, cash and Sunnyside School of Music gift certificates. Post dated checks are accepted for the entire school year.

Lessons are $25 per half hour and $50 an hour. Our Teacher Apprentice Program offers lessons at $16 half hour, and $36 an hour. Please see our Teacher Apprentice Program for more details.

Policies

Student Cancellation: Private students are permitted a maximum of 2 make-up lessons per term, granted only if the student/parent gives at least 24 hours notice by phone. (Sorry, emails not accepted.) Outstanding make-up lessons must be rescheduled at the discretion of the teacher within the same session and are not transferable. Refunds will not be given for extra missed/cancelled lessons except under special circumstances, ie. annual vacations or extended illness, if prior arrangements have been made.

Teacher Cancellation: Lessons cancelled by the teacher or due to statutory holidays will be rescheduled without penalty. If the teacher is not able to reschedule the lesson in that term, a full refund will be given for the missed lesson.

Cancellation of lessons: If a student cancels lessons within the first 3 weeks of any term, (September-December, January-March & April-June) the full remaining fee for the term will be refunded. After the third week of lessons no refund will be provided for the remainder of the term. All remaining post-dated cheques will be returned or destroyed, providing Sunnyside School of Music has received payment for all lessons to date.

Note: We respect all major religious holidays. Please notify us of your absence from your weekly lesson.

We will be closed for Christmas holidays (Dec. 23rd - Jan 6th) and March break (March 9th – 16th).

Time Changes

If, for any reason, you need to change the day or time of your lesson, please call Sunnyside School of Music at 416 531 6622. We will do our absolute best to accommodate your needs.
